1 : Some ACAD LISP programs are not working in properly in ActCAD ?

Ans. : Most of the LISP commands are supported in ActCAD. However there are few limitations on VISUAL LISP Some of the Visual LISP commands are not supported by ActCAD. Check the code thoroughly and compare with ActCAD Help Developer Reference.

2 : What is the Difference between ActCAD Standard & Professional Versions.?

Ans. : ActCAD Professional is having 3D Modelling Tools, Productivity tools etc.. which are not there in ActCAD Standard Version.

3 : How to use FILTER command in ActCAD ?

Ans. : Please use QSELECT Command. Your drawing should contain some entities so that this command will work.

4 : How to increase Entity Selection Pickbox Size and Entity Snap Aperture ?

Ans. : Below are the steps to achieve this result in ActCAD 2016 Software. 1.Select any entity inside ActCAD. 2.In that condition, go to Tools->Drawing Settings -> Coordinate Input Tab 3.Then you will notice two options at the bottom on Entity Selection Pickbox, increase the size at the pickbox dropdown list. 4.Similarly you can increase the Entity Snap Aperture, by increasing the Aperture size.

5 : Can I/we become Dealer/Reseller of your software ?

Ans. : Yes, we encourage you to become our Dealer or Reseller. However, we appoint only one Dealer in a particular State/Region. If there is no existing Dealer, you will get a chance to become our Dealer. Otherwise, we will redirect you to your local Dealer so that you can become their reseller.

6 : Where do I get best deal to buy ActCAD software ?

Ans. : We recommend you to buy the software from your nearest Dealer to get better support. There won't be any price difference between dealers and direct Distributor or online purchase.

7 : How do I know the version number that I have installed ?

Ans. : Open ActCAD. Help menu -> About ActCAD The mask is written the exact number of installed version

9 : The hot key of zoom and pan ?

10 : How to Insert Blocks from ActCAD Block Library ?

Ans. : Double Click on the block that you want to insert into a drawing & specify the insertion point

11 : Copy and Paste does not work. I can not copy the drawing in another drawing ?

Ans. : The reason could be that the drawing from which entities are being copied was closed. -- Make sure the file from which the entities were copied is still open. -- If it proves closed: open the file of the drawing of origin, select entities to be copied from the Edit menu and choose "Copy" or "Copy with Base Point." -- Open or move into the drawing of destination without closing the drawing of origin, Edit menu and choose Paste "or" Paste to Original Coordinate". NOTE: The right way to copy is always use the command "Copy" from the Edit menu

12 : Display the thickness of lines in the work area ?

Ans. : -- Click on the button "LWT" in the status bar of ActCAD to enable or disable the display of line width. OR: -- From the Tools menu, choose " Drawing Settings" . -- Under the "Display", under the label "Change settings:" choose from: "Lineweights." -- Select the "display lineweights". -- Exit the form confirming the button "Ok"

13 : When open a drawing, the content of the parts are different ?

Ans. : Where: The drawing is open, but some of its details are not present In this case, the file may be corrupted, so recovery is needed: -- Start ActCAD -- From the File menu choose "Recover" - Select the damaged files and confirm -- After the all the operations take effect on the drawing it is necessary to save it. It is recommended that you use the "Save as" command assigning another name to the recovered file to avoid losing in this way any definitive information that was not recovered

14 : I can not open a drawing ?

Ans. : Where: 01. An error message is displayed and the drawing is not opened. 02. An error message is not displayed but the drawing won't open. 03. It began the loading of the drawing but after the operation is completed or before it ActCAD goes wrong. In all these cases, the file may be corrupted, so recovery is needed: -- Start ActCAD -- From the File menu choose "Recover" -- Select the damaged files and confirm -- After all the operations take effect on the drawing it is necessary to save it. It is recommended that you use the "Save as" command assigning another name to the recovered file to avoid losing in this way any definitive information that was not recovered.

15 : I inserted an OLE Object and now I cannot open it anymore. What should I do ?

Ans. : This problem arises when external references (Xref) are used and its re-occurrence can be erratic. It could happen even after opening and saving the drawing several times. It relates to all OLE objects that can be inserted (images, Excel Spreadsheets, Word Documents, etc.) If you have this problem, you just need to delete the file with .vbi extension and the same name as your drawing found in the same directory as the .dwg file.

16 : Text string has wrong fonts even if I have copied them on my computer ?

Ans. : - Check if the font path is specified correctly in ActCAD options. From Tools->Options choose Path/Files tab and insert the correct path for your fonts. You can add more different paths separated - ActCAD makes an automatic substitution of fonts not available, check file icad.fmp (it is stored into ActCAD main directory), if a font substitution is present for one you have on the disk, delete this row. Font substitution syntax is OriginalFont;OptionalFont

17 : When I open a drawing made with AutoCAD the text is not properly aligned. How can I solve it ?

Ans. : It is a matter of font. The drawing opened uses an AutoCAD font. Anyone who owns a regular AutoCAD licence can use, besides the numerous fonts available with ActCAD , also the fonts supplied with AutoCAD. Just open the Tools menu. Under Options in Path/File in Fonts, add the fonts' installation path. For ex.: C:\Program Files\AutoCAD R14\Fonts. For the 2000 version of AutoCAD the simplex font can be found in Support directory. You can add this path too (For ex.: C:\AutoCAD LT 2000\Fonts;C:\AutoCAD LT 2000\Support) or copy this font to the folder Fonts of AutoCAD 2000. This guarantees a perfect display of any project using the simplex.shx font. Some of the desired fonts you can find on internet also, you can download & install the font in your machine for the better display of fonts in ActCAD Software.

18 : Where can I find the manual in PDF ?

Ans. : The manual printable PDF (using ActCAD.pdf) is saved in the Help folder, that is located in the main program. Es. "C:\Program Files or Progam Files(x86)\ActCAD\ActCAD 2016..\Help\Using ActCAD.pdf

19 : You are selling ActCAD at very low price compared to your competitors. Are there any limitations in features?

Ans. : No, there are no limitations in ActCAD Software. However, there are few differences between Standard and Professional Versions. However, the best way is to evaluate ActCAD and check the features and capabilities yourself. ActCAD is a kind of try and buy software. There is no special learning involved for existing CAD users.

20 : I noticed that IntelliCAD is distributed under the name of several different companies. Why ?

Ans. : IntelliCAD is a product which was developed by a consortium of several companies from around the world. This guarantees the support needed in case of any problems arising from such a vast software project. Every company participating as trading member to the ITC consortium can distribute products based on IntelliCAD technology. This kind of co-operation guarantees the basic functionality and compatibility. 21 : What is Self License Transfer ?

Ans. : Between any two computers, you can transfer licenses yourself with out any approvals.

22 : How do you draw in Meter or Feet in ActCAD? I can't find the units here.

Ans. : Create new drawing -> create entirely new drawing -> Next -> Next -> now you will be able to select the units either in feet or meter. Please check.

23 : What are the image attachment capabilities to ActCAD Drawings?

Ans. : ActCAD support over 80 types of images to be embedded inside your drawing (dwg) file. This feature is best-in-class compared to any other CAD software. Further, it will search for embedded images efficiently and notify the user for any missing image links.

24 : Where do we find Express tools?

Ans. : Please copy attached file to your Program Files -> ActCAD Directory. Close and open your ActCAD. Contact us if you need any further help.

25 : Unable to open DWG file directly?

Ans. : Right click on any of your DWG file -> Open with -> choose default program as "ActCAD". The icon of all your existing DWG files also will change.

26 : When one makes a selection in the drawing of any object, a selection window pops up and disturbs the screen

Ans. : Goto ActCAD -> Tools -> Options -> Display Tab -> Goto "Menus" group and disable, "Display Prompt Boxes". You will no more get these pop ups.

27 : Unable to lock the Tool bar in one position?

Ans. : All toolbars are expected to stay at their previous position. Follow these steps: (i) In windows run, type "%appdata%" and enter (ii) Select and delete "ActCAD" folder. (iii) Restart your ActCAD application.

28 : When I insert any block, the scaling is not done as per the size of the drawing

Ans. : While inserting any block, you have an option to specify scale, mirror etc. By default no software will understand the required scale automatically in your drawing. Give us more information if you are comparing with any other CAD software.

29 : What do we do if we get 'Error.Log' file Error Message in ActCAD.

Ans. : If you get this error, it means directory for log files is missing. Type command "SYSLOGPATH" in ActCAD command bar and it will show you the path of log file directory. Create a folder at that location with same name if it is not there.

30 : What should I do if I get the following error - "The path given for the Error.log was not found. The Error.log will be generated in the application directory."

Ans. : If you get this error, it means directory for log files was missing. Type command "SYSLOGPATH" in ActCAD and it will show you the path of log file directory. Create the folder at that location with same name if it is not there.

31 : I am getting ALL_USERS_PROFILE not avaialble error is displayed during installation. What to do?

Ans. : This problem is due to VC++ programs missing in your OS. Make sure that you have the vc redistributable files installed in your computer. However, we have included all the requirements in our software package. Unless there is a peculiar installation from your end, you will not encounter this problem.

32 : What local languages are supported in ActCAD?

Ans. : Following languages are supported in ActCAD: Chinese Czeck English French German Italian Korean Polish Portuguese Russian Spanish.

33 : How to change local language in ActCAD?

Ans. : To change your language, ActCAD -> Tools -> Options -> Display -> Select Language -> Click OK)
