The MEASUREGEOM command in ACTCAD is used to measure distances, radii, angles, areas, and volumes directly from objects in your drawing. Steps to Use MEASUREGEOM in ACTCAD:

1. Step 1: Launch the MEASUREGEOM Command

   Type MEASUREGEOM in the command bar and press Enter.
   Alternatively, use the ribbon: Tools → Inquiry → Measure Geometry.


2. Step 2: Choose Measurement Type

   After starting the command, ACTCAD prompts you to choose what to measure. Options include:

   • Distance: Measures the straight-line distance between two points.
   • Radius: Measures the radius of arcs or circles.
   • Angle: Measures the angle between two lines or three points.
   • Area: Measures the area and perimeter of closed geometry or defined points.
   • Volume: Measures the volume of 3D solids.

   Type the option name (for example, D for Distance) and press Enter.


3. Step 3: Perform the Measurement

   Examples:

   • Distance: Click first point → click second point → ACTCAD displays distance, delta X/Y/Z, and angle.
   • Radius: Select the arc or circle → radius and diameter are displayed.
   • Angle: Click first point → second point → third point (vertex) → displays included angle.
   • Area: Select a closed object or specify points to define a boundary → displays area and perimeter.
   • Volume: Select a 3D solid → displays volume, mass properties, and bounding box dimensions.

4. Step 4: View Results

   Results appear in the command bar and can be copied for documentation. For area and volume measurements, additional data (such as perimeter or mass properties) will be provided.
