AIDIMSTYLE Command in ACTCAD

The AIDIMSTYLE command in ACTCAD is used to launch the Dimension Style Manager, allowing users to create, modify, and manage dimension styles for consistent annotation in drawings.

Step 1: Launch the Command

• Type AIDIMSTYLE in the command bar and press Enter.
• Alternatively, go to the Annotate tab and click on Dimension Style.

Step 2: Dimension Style Manager Opens

You will now see the Dimension Style Manager dialog.

Step 3: Create or Modify Styles

• Click New to create a new dimension style.
  • You can base it on an existing style.
• Click Modify to change the settings of the selected style.

Step 4: Adjust Dimension Settings

In the Modify dialog, you can change:

• Lines: Color, lineweight, extension line settings.
• Symbols and Arrows: Arrowhead style, size.
• Text: Text height, placement, alignment, and style.
• Fit: Scale options and text placement when space is tight.
• Primary Units: Precision, unit format, suffix, zero suppression.

Step 5: Set as Current

Once you're done, click Set Current to make your style active.

Step 6: Use the Style

Now, whenever you use dimension tools (DIMLINEAR, DIMALIGNED, etc.), they will follow the settings from the current dimension style.
